Any help with this problem greatly appreciated:
I have a project which has been under development for two years. It’s hosted on an AVR4809 which uses UPDI to progam.
On the machine where I develop and maintain the code, I do whatever I need and upload the code with a jtag2updi programmer which is an Arduino Uno with the Jtag2UPDI code on it. It all works fine. My code is managed by Git. I do the Push & Pull thing. It’s great exercise.
So on my operational machine in a remote field with no mains power or internet, I have PIO installed and my Git repos pulled. My code compiles which I appreciate. However, PIO has not heard of jtag2updi on this machine. It’s an Intel NUC. I brought it home & connected it to internet world. It was fine. However it still complains that Jtag2updi is ‘not a valid programmer’. I use the same Arduino uno programmer with no changes. Any help much appreciated.
