Code executes in external cmd window, Please delete this, made a mistake with the input

Hi,

When I try to run a program in PlatformIO it opens up and external cmd window and then instantly closes itself.
I am using PlatoformIO IDE Terminal as I’m using Python 3.6.1. I went through Code runs in external windows cmd and uninstalled everything and wiped all traces, and yet the problem recurred on the freshly installed version. What should I do so it functions normally?

PlatformIO requires python 2.7, it does not work with 3.x.
