I am trying to upload the code here
However ,when I upload the code and click any button on the remote control nothing appears on the Serial monitor(I added print statements under each ‘if’ command line) ,My first thought was a faulty remote control but I put it under phone camera and got a violet color after each remote click meaning it works(suggested by ai) so my next thought was a problem with the receiver ,I did not know how to test this theory so I mindlessly uploaded the blink sketch and hooked the OUT pin of the receiver with the 13pin and The red LED on it lit up,
now I do not know if that means the ir receiver is functioning or not because I still do not get anything on the monitor as I mentioned above.
Any suggestions on what might be the problem?
