Use external serial monitor

When my upload completes it is automatically opening a monitor terminal. This is happening even though I used a Upload task (not a Upload and Monitor task). How do I specify to PlatformIO that no Monitor?

Platformio-ide: Force Upload And Monitor is unchecked

ok, strange but without changing the setting for Force Upload and Monitor, the monitor has not opened automatically on my last 2 uploads.
