Is that your VSCode version of what does “pf version” stand for.
Could you provide a simple project to reproduce this issue? Maybe, using AtmelAVR but with the env names that produce these errors?
Do you use the latest VSCode 1.75.0 ?

You might have installed it manually or via a ZIP, try redownloading it from Download Visual Studio Code - Mac, Linux, Windows with the System Installer.
so, PIO cannot support Windows 7…
Update 1.70.3: This update is only available for Windows 7 users and is the last release supporting Windows 7.
Not sure why Microsoft has made that decision.
Edit: The Electron framework that VSCode relies on was temporarily broken for Windows 7. It’s fixed again but Microsoft seems to have decided to stop supporting Windows 7.
yep, but this happened after PIO update, not on VSC…
It seems we can provide a workaround on our side. Could you file an issue to Issues · platformio/platformio-vscode-ide · GitHub ?
