Support for Arduino Nano Matter Board

Further to the post regarding support for the Arduino Nano Matter ( Support for Arduino Nano Matter ), when i review the list of compatible boards there is nothing listed for this board.

I am trying to build an initial platform.ini file, consisting of release and debug, but I’m at a loss past

platform=platform-siliconlabsefm32

i have no idea what to put in for the board, and how to configure the debug setting for that environment. Does anyone have an example they could share? or any guidance.

@maxgerhardt I see that on the linked topic you made some great progress, but i’m not sure the platform IO integration has ever fully worked.

Does GitHub - maxgerhardt/pio-sparkfun-thingplusmatter-test · GitHub work for you when you download it, open it in VSCode and try to upload it?

Alas, i can’t run that as i am Mac, not windows, so i can’t try it.

That repo appears to be support for debug tools like J-Link - which I use, but it’s not a full repo for PlatformIO, so maybe i have gone down the wrong path.

What’s the error message? Windows, Linux and Mac should be supported as normal. Each has their package.

hi ya,

the package loads, but I must be missing something as i was expecting a PlatformIO integration, not a separate application. i must have missed something in my journey.
it looks like it needs the device to already be on the matter network as it is looking for an IP address. I haven’t got that far yet - i’m not even passed the blink LED stage, so I’ll have to go back and do some further investigation etc.

The program loaded by the pio-sparkfun-thingplusmatter-test above is a blinky + print firmware, no Matter networking at all. If properly uploaded, the should be no mention of Matter.
