We would be thankful if you try our beta and follow this topic for further updates. We have over 1,400,000 unique installations of our extension and understand the price of a small mistake :frowning: . Hundreds of thousands of developers could receive a broken environment. So, please help us with testing!

  1. Download platformio-ide-2.3.0-beta.3.vsix
  2. Open VSCode > Extensions > Click on ... and select “Install from VSIX…”
  3. Select VSIX file, install it!
  4. Happy coding!

If you have any issues, please open “VSCode > Help > Toggle Developers Tools” and check “Console” for any errors. You can also see in the Console the whole installation or startup process.

I encountered a bug where I had git-cloned a project, opened it in VSCode and built it, and then I git checkout other-branch in the VSCode terminal. Since I then wanted to do an Intellisense rebuild I clicked in the project tasks “Default” section but then the error

occurrs. Clicking the “Refresh” button in the project tasks also doesn’t work, and the scaffold expands to nothing, although there should be tasks there.

Could you re-test with Beta 3 by a link above?

Confirmed fixed, error message does not appear anymore and the “Default” project tasks are expandable again and execute correctly.

Thanks! 2.3.0 is out!
