Since you’re still only at the first stage of installing PlatformIO, can you try the following and see if there is any change:

  1. Close VSCode
  2. Navigate to C:\Users\ldm in your file manager (i.e. Windows Explorer)
  3. Delete the .platformio directory
  4. Restart VSCode
