PIO Won't Start in VSCode

PIO 2.51

Error: Could not start PIO Home server: Error: timeout
at c:\Users\xxxx.vscode\extensions\platformio.platformio-ide-2.5.1-win32-x64\node_modules\platformio-node-helpers\dist\index.js:1:10013…

Any thoughts to get this to open? I’ve uninstalled PIO, VSC, and python multiple times and still no luck.

Any antivirus active?

What happens when you manually execute pio home with the pio.exe executable foudn in C:\Users\<user>\.platformio (end then penv/bin/ or something)

It is on my work machine and I’m also questioning my IT as to firewalls/antivirus restrictions etc.

pio.exe loads a cmd window for half a second with the text, but disappears after that half second.

Edit: when I cd into the pio.exe directory, I got the list of commands.

pio home gives this:

The issue was a work firewall blocking my connection. My IT whitelisted PIO connection and it functions now.
