No Build / Upload button since update

Hi,

I hope this is the right place to post.

I have just updated my PIO to 2.0. Open my projects as usual using using File -> Open folder…).
Now when I open the sidebar and click the platformIO icon, the options list starts with
PIO Home

  • open
  • PIO account
  • Inspect
    …
    where before I had the buttons for build, upload, clean…

I have restarted and re-opened several projects several times , the menu points do not show up.

In the bottom left corner of the window with the file-explorer being selected you can see

Ah… oh… okay… thanks for the fast response :slight_smile:
Do you know if there is any chance to change it to the old style?

Also, now I get the error message:

ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'paho':

(I have some pre- and post python scripts, which run perfectly before…)

Was Paho ever included in the default pyenv environment installed by PlatformIO o_O? Try checking whether you can still access the pip3 executable for PlatformIO and instruct it to install that library. (Zephyr Blink example build fails after new install - #2 by maxgerhardt)

I’ve also wondered about why that change was made, see PlatformIO IDE 2.0 for VSCode 🚀
