Multiple serial monitors, it stopped working

Hi,

Two tabs open, two devices connected. I was always able to select the serial monitor icon and it would open a task specific for the active tab (using the port config in platformio.ini).

If I do that now I get a “task active” already warning. I have a vague memory of setting a preference for this somewhere, but Google is not finding what that would be

Suggestions?

Does it work if you open Terminal with project CWD and run pio device monitor?

Hi Ivan,

It does indeed start the serial monitor in that terminal without an issue

Any ideas? It was super handy to be able to run them simultaneously

Just click on “+” icon in terminal and type pio device monitor.
