[sigh…] Fine. I get it.
I wrote up a post that I thought would be helpful, which included a few links to various items in the official PlatformIO documentation, but upon clicking “Create Topic,” I’m met with:
Sorry, new users can only put 2 links in a post.
Ugh… I had to go back and basically neuter my post and make it less informative.
So, to the administrators:
I understand that all new users are risky and not to be trusted, and anyone that posts more than two links as a new user are definitely spammers, but can that rule exclude links to official PlatformIO resources, at least?
Also, the “Powered By You” section on your FAQ page says:
If you have any further questions about how things should work here, open a new topic in the site feedback category and let’s discuss!
…but that link is broken.
I’m not 100% up to speed on everything that the underlying software which runs this forum does, but I see in the docs that “new users should update to trust level 1 in about 15 minutes”. Trust level 1 is “basic” whereas level 0 is “New user”.You are currently at basic level.
Perhaps you could try again with your original, un-neutered, post?
I’m only a moderator, so I can’t do anything about the broken links. Sorry. Perhaps @ivankravets can help.
Cheers,
Norm.

Oh, yeah, I meant to ask about that and forgot. I assumed it was based on number of posts or whatever, not time. I didn’t find any documentation, but thank you for finding that out for me.

I tried editing it before and got the same error, but at that time I didn’t know about the 15-minute “new guy” rule.
I made another attempt just now, and this time it let me save it!
