ESP32-S3 Built-in JTAG not recognized under Windows

Hello all,

I am trying to debug an ESP32-S3 dev kit using Platform IO under Windows 11.

This happens when uploading:

And this also happens when trying to debug

I have navigated the forums and github, and it seems Im not the only person having this issue, but no one has a concrete answer to resolve this under windows.

Any help or suggestions are appreciated!

Try creating an environment variable OPENOCD_SCRIPTS and set it to the location of your scripts folder, ie: C:.platformio\packages\tool-openocd-esp32\share\openocd\scripts\
