ESP-IDF, CLion, PlatformIO... is it really still unusable?

There has been an ongoing problem with CMake for ages now.

Is there still no viable solution for having good CLion features (such as auto #include filling, etc) and running ESP-IDF at the same time?

I see no change in ESP IDF 4.0 + Clion · Issue #307 · platformio/platform-espressif32 · GitHub and CLion — PlatformIO latest documentation.

Recently the new CLion was released with PlatformIO plugin completely rewritten.
ESP32 should be working now.
