Cannot compile a useable Marlin 2.0 firmware

  1. Install PlatformIO IDE for VSCode. If you did this, check that you use the latest version.
  2. Check that you use the latest stable PlatformIO Core. Please run VSCode > Left Sidebar > PlatformIO > Quick Access > Upgrade PlatformIO Core
  3. Download the latest Marlin 2.x.x source code.
  4. Unpack and open with VSCode > File > Open .... The platformio.ini file should be in the root of a project.
