Cloning GitHub - MarlinFirmware/Marlin: Marlin is an optimized firmware for RepRap 3D printers based on the Arduino platform. | Many commercial 3D printers come with Marlin installed. Check with your vendor if you need source code for your specific machine. and building it (env_default = megaatmega2560 is already there) compiles correctly for me.

What PIO core version are you using? Are all platforms up-to-date? What OS are you running on?

I got it going, magically? Had to do an upload_port to the wchusbserial port to make it work. Not sure of the PIO version but running MAC OSX Mojave. Thanks for helping.
