Retired engineer and sailing around the world for the last 14 years I have developed a unique energy and lithium battery management system that is now being used on 70 boats around the world.

A new and younger team is now taking that product to the market with a version 2 that is soon to be released. I still help them until a suitable technical partner joins the adventure to manage R&D - and to whom I feel good passing on my baby. I am porting some of the code that was developed with Arduino IDE for an ATmega2560 to ESP32 platform. I took that opportunity to move to Platformio environment… and I love it! it is so much easier to manage large applications and it saves me lots of time.

Other aspects of the product are developed mainly with Python for remote monitor, CANbus interface, web interface, PC app, cloud dashboard, time series data and events logs… a lot of fun!
