I have been in IT since 1976 - starting in the early days of microprocessors (8080,6800,Z80) and working as a control systems engineer through assembler, C, Pascal, C++, and from a $50billion engineering project with safety critical systems moved to financial services for 20 years working with PDP11’s to IBM mainframes. SOA and micro-services on Kubernetes ended a 8 year spell as CIO for a charity.
Now in retirement, I am rediscovering micro-controllers and hardware which is SOOO cheap that I can apply the micro-service principles to IOT and build complex solutions from wireless connected blocks.
