Very (Only 76 in fact) old retired Electronics Engineer 50 or so years of Machine code, Servo System installation and optimisation and PLC ladder logic under my belt and still learning. Specialised in Special Purpose Machines particularly packing and labelling. I now just “Potter about” with C++ on various Micro platforms, with a view to solving “real life problems” Garaged door opening systems and out side light control are my most recent. Very new to PlatformIO but I am liking it a lot. I suppose like most non professional “Programmers” I came from the Arduino IDE and all its simplicity. This Forum is also a breath of fresh air compared with the Arduino Point scoring, self aggrandising, lot whose only priority seemed to be the number of offensive unhelpful quotes they could post. I am also completely sold on the Espressive ESP32 with WiFi what a supper flexible product. I also build and Fly model Aircraft particularly Quad-copters and modify the Flight control software no ground breaking stuff just tweaks to the older 8 bit stuff and use of the more modern 32 bit stuff.
