Xmc47 relax kit old toolchain

Hello

Can I install a newer toolchain for my mcu?

My project is is using
CONFIGURATION: https://docs.platformio.org/page/boards/infineonxmc/kit_xmc47_relax.html
PLATFORM: Infineon XMC (4.1.1+sha.67fccf2) > KIT_XMC47_RELAX
HARDWARE: XMC4700 144MHz, 343.75KB RAM, 1.95MB Flash
DEBUG: Current (jlink) On-board (jlink)
PACKAGES:

  • framework-arduinoxmc @ 3.1.0
  • toolchain-gccarmnoneeabi @ 1.100301.220327 (10.3.1)

I thnik it ist too old.

Per documentation you can choose to override the toolchain-gccarmnoneeabi package with another version or source, e.g., from the PIO registry. The versions are listed there.

For example, to get arm-none-eabi-gcc 14.2.1, you would put

platform_packages =
   platformio/toolchain-gccarmnoneeabi@^1.140201.0

in your platformio.ini.
