The grey just means that the thread was visited by you (and no new responses). If it’s black with no blue number behind it that’s an unread topic. Black and with a blue number behind it is a topic in which you’ve previously participated in and now there’s a number of new responses. This all perfectly fine, you are not banned or anything.
