Who wants to participate in IoT research by giving a few minutes?

Hi everyone!

We are conducting an empirical study to assess the characteristics of bug categories in IoT systems, and also to investigate the challenges of developing IoT systems from the Software Engineering perspective.

We are researchers at the Software analysis and testing lab at the University of British Columbia and we are conducting the first study to characterize bugs and developers’ challenges in IoT from a software engineering perspective. With this in mind, we are the first that have mined open-source IoT repositories and categorized bug reports, analyzed StackOverflow posts, and conducted interviews with experts in IoT systems. We need your opinions on our results so far to validate our findings and also attain new insights in case. Also, there’s a chance to win a 25 CA$ gift card.

If you have experience with developing IoT systems, please take this 6-minutes survey through the anonymous link below. Also, there’s a chance for participants to win a 25 CA$ gift card.

The survey will be active until Aug 04, 2020

We encourage you to share this survey with other IoT developers if you know any. Also, feel free to reach out to us for any questions or concerns.

Thanks in advance!
