I am looking for a way to program chips that are not a part of any development boards. I do not know if PlatformIO can do this. I am trying to use it as a general purpose IDE similar to IAR or KEIL where you can just choose a chip and a programmer. Is this possible to do using any of the addons? When I start a new project I am only able to choose from a bunch of development boards and not specific chips. Any insight to this would be great since google shows up nothing thank you!!
