There exist an issue with installing the PlatformIO on vscode. The issue is that Platformio requires an obsolete version (3.6) of Python3 and doesn’t allow to install on a systems with a newer version is installed. Please urgently fix it

Try to use the installer script to install the core.

Note that this requires, on Linux systems,

sudo apt install python3-venv
