Unfortunately, as both the documentation and the error message states, debugging Arduino Uno is currently not supported. In point of fact, there is no official support for debugging AVR at present. However, it is planned:
And there was this issue on GitHub in which someone was trying to get it working, but I don’t think they got anywhere.
