Esp32 latest pakage: 6.7

Hi All,
After updating the platformio using: pio pkg update
the serial output from my esp32 not working any more just showing some boot messages then Null, I tried to uninstall then reinstall platformio , on windows and linux , add this to the ini file: monitor_speed = 115200
monitor_rts = 0
monitor_dtr = 0

but still the same problem

rst:0x1 (POWERON_RESET),boot:0x12 (SPI_FAST_FLASH_BOOT)

Null

I guess “Null” is the output from your sketch.

But without knowing your sketch and your platformio.ini this is just a guess.

Please try a simple Hello World sketch and let us know the content of your platformio.ini and the exact board you are using.

#include <Arduino.h>

void setup() {
  Serial.begin(115200);
  Serial.println("Hello World");
}

void loop() {}

The code was working fine and the serial output too, Then I had a problem with wifi library so I tried to update the pio pkgs the problem appeared after the update.

I use esp32 dev module
with arduino framework

I also tried to compile an old version from my project that in production and tested for a long time , the problem happen also, So I think it’s not my code problem , I think maybe the new version has a bug or more configs must be configured !

Maybe the framework has been broken.

  • Close VS Code
  • Delete all “espressif32” folders in C:\Users\<username>\.platformio\platforms
  • Start VS Code
  • Wait until PlatformIO finished all tasks (reinstalling the platform)
