Just wanted to let you know that personally I figured that I don’t really need the MDF support as the IDF contains the core mesh functionality I need.
The source of confusion IMHO, is Espressif’s choice of calling ‘Mesh Development Framework’ to a library that ‘only’ adds supporting capabilities (such as mobile configuration app) on top of an existing mesh solution… that’s why I thought I need it - its name hints that it contains the core capabilities…
